The children in Owl Class have returned to school with an excellent attitude to this last push before they sit their SATs. They have worked so hard all year and it is quite incredible to see some of the progress that has been made. This week we have been focusing on consolidating our calculation skills with integers and fractions, working with negative numbers and converting between fractions, decimals and percentages. In English we are working on our reading comprehension skills and also learning about writing balanced arguments. We have also enjoyed our wider curriculum in the afternoons with the start of Athletics in PE and in PSHE we have begun to think about power and control in relatiionships. On Tuesday we completed our Big Science Experiment posters and each group presented their project to the class. We then voted for the best Science project and the winners were Amelia, Evelyn and Edith (congratulations!) who will now go forward to the whole school event.
We hope that everyone enjoys the long weekend and comes back refreshed and ready for the new week.
